The #FordRanger was once the most popular compact truck in America. Sadly for @ford, Toyota stole that title with the Tacoma for years, but for 2024 it looks like #Ford is ready to steal a bigger chunk of the pie with the redesigned #FordRanger! This is a brand new truck that is new globally as well, and this time America gets basically the same truck as everyone else. This week, we are driving the midlevel #RangerXLT with the standard 2.3L #EcoBoost Turbo 4-cylinder making 270 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. Power flows through a 10-speed AT with part-time 4WD. The new #Ranger also tows up to 7,500 lbs and can carry up to 1,805 lbs of payload in the bed. We clocked a speedy 0-60 MPH time in just 6.3 secs; tying the Honda Ridgeline as one of the speediest midsize trucks we’ve ever tested, so far. If you want an even faster truck, Ford also offers an optional 2.7L Twin-Turbo V6 and the #RangerRaptor has the most power in the segment with its 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6! The exterior style is far more modern and evokes a baby F-150 design; while the Sandstone cloth interior on this XLT trim includes heating and a 10-way power driver’s seat. While the 12” SYNC4 infotainment system is modern and easy to use, even if it’s not the largest screen in the class.
